Launched on November 18, 2023 by the public authorities, Écoantibio 3 represents the latest plan to combat the risks linked to antibiotic resistance in animal health (2023-2028). It aims to maintain current good levels of exposure of farm animals to antibiotics and to reduce the exposure of dogs and cats by 15% within five years. It also promotes the rational use of antimicrobials and antiparasitics.
Today, this plan is entering its operational phase: to realize the actions of Écoantibio 3, a call for projects worth 2 million euros has in fact been announced and will be carried out each year over the period 2024- 2028. It was this Monday, April 15, 2024 that the Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty announced the launch of this first call for projects during a visit to the agricultural high school of Mirecourt in the Vosges.
It will finance projects intended to acquire new knowledge or develop practices in the field of resistance to antimicrobials or antiparasitics in animal health in a One Health approach. Applications for the call for projects are open from April 15 to June 14, 2024, and the conditions for submitting projects can be consulted on the dedicated page.
