As part of its activities, PROMISE launched a University Diploma (DU) in Antimicrobial Resistance and the One Health Approach in 2023. This diploma, offered by the Université de Limoges with the support of the Institut Pasteur and the Université de Tours is a professionally oriented training programme, delivered 100% online and asynchronously (no need to connect at a fixed time). It is available only in French to both initial and continuing education students.
The programme is aimed at professionals working in human, animal and environmental health (human and animal health practitioners, epidemiologists, hospital managers, water resource managers, etc.), as well as researchers, professionals and students in political science. Since 2023, this University Diploma has trained more than 50 participants.

The programme includes 30 hours of online classes (excluding individual study), as well as two MOOCs developed by the Institut Pasteur as teaching resources. Thirty lecturers contribute to the programme, and participants must complete seven modules, available as part of both initial and continuing education:
- Antibiotics and antimicrobial resistance
- Antimicrobial resistance and One Health
- Appropriate use of antibiotics
- Infection prevention
- Epidemiology and surveillance of antimicrobial resistance
- Public health, antimicrobial resistance and One Health
- From data to action
The programme includes multiple-choice questionnaires (MCQs) to validate Modules 1 to 7 (seven online 30-minute MCQs), as well as a group written assignment, submitted in the form of a dissertation, to validate Module 7. Don’t wait — apply now!

The objectives of the programme are multiple:
- Understand the One Health dynamics of antimicrobial resistance
- Understand the importance of appropriate antibiotic use and infection prevention practices across different sectors
- Gain insight into the epidemiology of antimicrobial resistance across different sectors
- Recognise the public health dimension of One Health and antimicrobial resistance
- Learn how to communicate research findings and actions effectively
- Manage One Health projects
The application process consists of several steps:
- You must first obtain authorisation to enrol by sending a cover letter including your contact details and an up-to-date CV to the programme coordinator (Pr. Marie-Cécile Ploy) and to her secretariat (Yolanda Gonzalez Flores, PROMISE Project Manager).
- Once you have received authorisation to enrol, you must complete the registration application.
- Your completed application, together with all the required supporting documents, must then be submitted:

Fees for the 2026–2027 academic year are:
- €855 for initial education (€767 for students at the University of Limoges)
- €1,455 for continuing education (€255 registration fee + €1,200 tuition fee)
