EU-JAMRAI 2 is a joint European action on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and healthcare-associated infections, in which several member partners of the PROMISE meta-network are heavily involved. To mark World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week, held from 18 to 24 November 2025, EU-JAMRAI 2 launched its digital awareness campaign #SketchingAntimicrobialResistance.
This awareness campaign, which aims to ‘draw antimicrobial resistance’, brings together 30 illustrators from the 30 countries participating in EU-JAMRAI 2 to raise awareness of AMR by combining art and science. Each illustration and message tells part of a story that belongs to everyone: the importance of preserving the effectiveness of antimicrobials.
For one month, the various social networks of @EU-JAMRAI (Youtube | LinkedIn | Facebook | Instagram | X) therefore highlighted all the illustrations produced in each country, along with the accompanying explanations. This was the case, for example, with the French illustration by Cécile Dormeau, on the theme of ‘Safe food habits, fewer infections’.
The campaign was initially launched in digital form, but a printed album and five outdoor exhibitions will also be released in the near future.
