Sketching Antimicrobial Resistance: the EU-JAMRAI 2 exhibition to be held in Lyon in April 2026

Several partner members of the PROMISE meta-network are heavily involved in EU-JAMRAI 2, a European joint action on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and healthcare-associated infections..

To mark World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week, which took place from 18 to 24 November 2025, EU-JAMRAI 2 launched the digital version of its #SketchingAntimicrobialResistance awareness campaign. Aimed at ‘sketching antimicrobial resistance’, it brings together 30 illustrators from the 30 countries participating in this European joint action to raise awareness of AMR, combining art and science. Each illustration and each message tells a part of this story that belongs to us all: the importance of preserving the effectiveness of antimicrobials.

The #SketchingAntimicrobialResistance exhibition in Vienna (Austria)

Since early 2026, #SketchingAntimicrobialResistance has also become a physical public exhibition. Following successful presentations in Vienna (Austria), Warsaw (Poland) and Brussels (Belgium), the exhibition will arrive in Lyon (Place de la République) as part of the One Health Festival in April (more specifically, from 30 March to 14 April 2026), alongside the One Health Summit on 7 April 2026. The exhibition will present the complete collection of 30 illustrations and their associated messages to a wide and diverse audience.
