The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), the European Environment Agency (EEA), the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), and the European Medicines Agency (EMA) published a joint framework for action to strengthen cooperation to support the implementation of the One Health agenda in the European Union.
Let’s remember that the One Health approach recognises the complex interplay between human, animal and plant health, food safety, the climate crisis and environmental sustainability. Implementing this approach across different sectors will be key to making the EU and its Member States better equipped to prevent, predict, detect and respond to health threats.
The document outlines the common vision and objectives of the task force and lists a set of concrete actions to achieve them.
