The SPARES national mission is one of the 5 missions of RéPIA, a network managed by Santé Publique France. This mission monitors two complementary aspects of the fight against antibiotic resistance: antibiotic consumption and bacterial resistance.
Each year, it publishes a report dedicated to monitoring antibiotic consumption and bacterial resistance in healthcare establishments. The latest results are now available.
- Access the publication “Données de surveillance de la consommation des antibiotiques et des résistances bactériennes en établissement de santé. Mission SPARES : Résultats 2022″ [FR].
As the mission states on its website, “monitoring shows a contrasting situation in 2022, with overall antibiotic consumption rising by +3.9% between 2019 and 2022, as well as an increase in broad-spectrum antibiotics”. As regards bacterial resistance, you can access all the data directly in the report.
Please note that in addition to these data, complementary documents (infographic, short summary and slide show) are also available on the SPARES page.
