Le Graie (research group, technical animation and information on water) is organizing the 8th Water & Health conference on November 14 and 15, 2023 at the CCVA in Villeurbanne (234 cours Emile Zola).
This day aims to provide a framework conducive to the sharing of knowledge, issues and inspiring initiatives in order to promote the emergence of research perspectives, actions and common strategies, around a systemic “One Health” approach.
Context: “The contamination of environments by micropollutants resulting from our care practices is accompanied by a global phenomenon of deployment of bacterial resistance which has an impact on the environment and presents a risk to human health. Acting and combating these effects requires the characterization and understanding of the mechanisms involved as well as the mobilization of all water and human and animal health stakeholders, researchers, institutions and practitioners.“
These two days will therefore provide an opportunity to discuss micropollutants linked to healthcare practices and antibiotic resistance: characterization, impact and reduction. On this occasion, the meta-network PROMISE – partner of the event – will be present in particular during the session “Characterizing: exposome and impact of care practices on our environment and our health”.
